Matcha–Spirulina Iced Latte

Matcha–Spirulina Iced Latte

A refreshing green latte for warm days.
Makes 1 glass

Ingredients

  • 200 ml plant-based milk
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • ½ tsp Aligma Spirulina Powder
  • 1 tsp honey or agave
  • Handful of ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Dissolve the matcha
  2. Add 1 tsp matcha powder to a small bowl.
  3. Add 2–3 tablespoons of hot water (not boiling, approx. 80°C).
  4. Whisk with a matcha whisk or small whisk until fully dissolved and frothy.
  5. Mix in the spirulina & sweetener
  6. Add ½ tsp Aligma Spirulina Powder to the matcha.
  7. Stir well until the spirulina is fully incorporated.
  8. Add 1 tsp honey or agave and stir again.
  9. Prepare the glass
  10. Fill your glass with a handful of ice cubes.
  11. Pour over 200 ml cold plant-based milk (such as oat, almond, or soy milk).
  12. Add the matcha–spirulina mix
  13. Gently pour the green mixture on top of the milk.
  14. Stir for an even colour, or leave it in layers for a beautiful effect.
  15. Serve
  16. Pop in a straw, give it a stir, and enjoy!
  17. Drink immediately for the best flavour and foam texture.
