We process and ship orders within 1–2 business days. Delivery within the Netherlands typically takes 1–2 business days after dispatch. For other EU countries, please allow 3–5 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking link as soon as your order is on its way.

Yes. We offer free delivery on all orders over €20. For orders below this amount, a standard shipping fee applies. The exact shipping cost is shown at checkout before you complete your order.

Yes. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking link. You can use this link to follow your parcel through PostNL. If you haven't received a tracking email within 2 business days of ordering, please check your spam folder or contact us at service@aligma.eu.

Currently we ship to all EU countries. We do not yet ship outside the European Union. If you are located outside the EU and are interested in our products, feel free to contact us — we are happy to look into options together.

Spirulina and chlorella are both microalgae, but they differ in composition and characteristics. Spirulina is a blue-green algae known for its high protein content and the presence of phycocyanin, the pigment responsible for its blue-green colour. Chlorella is a green single-celled algae that is particularly rich in chlorophyll and contains the unique Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF). Both are available as powder and as tablets.

The core ingredient is the same — pure, organic microalgae. The main difference is in how they are intended to be used. Our superfood range is designed for use in the kitchen: in smoothies, juices, bowls, and recipes. Our supplement range is formulated for daily intake as a dietary supplement, available in tablets and powder with clear dosage guidance.

Yes. All Aligma products are 100% plant-based and suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Our algae-based omega-3 is derived from microalgae — making it a fully plant-based alternative to fish oil, without any animal-derived ingredients.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend consulting your doctor or healthcare provider before using any dietary supplement, including our algae products. A healthcare professional can advise you based on your personal situation.

Our microalgae are cultivated in Europe under controlled conditions. We work with certified cultivation partners who grow the algae in closed systems, without the use of pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Our R&D team is based in Singapore, where we continuously work on improving cultivation methods, formulations, and quality standards. Every batch is fully traceable from cultivation to end product.

Yes. Our products carry official organic certification. This means they are grown and processed without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or artificial additives, and have been independently verified to meet organic standards. Every batch of our products is tested by an independent laboratory before it is released for sale. Testing covers the absence of heavy metals (such as lead, cadmium, and arsenic), pesticide residues, and microbial contamination. Only batches that meet all specifications are approved. Our pure algae products contain only the algae itself — no added fillers, binders, colours, or preservatives. They are free from gluten, dairy, and soy. If you have a known allergy or food intolerance, please check the product label or contact us for more information about a specific product.

Our algae powders can be added to smoothies, juices, water, yoghurt, or used in recipes. A common starting amount is half a teaspoon per day, which can be gradually increased according to your preference. The powder has a natural earthy flavour that blends well with fruit-based drinks. Blue spirulina powder has a very mild taste and is particularly popular for its striking blue colour in recipes.

Each of our tablets weighs 500 mg. For beginners, we recommend building up gradually to allow your body to adjust. A typical starting point is 2 tablets per day (1 gram), increasing over time to 6–10 tablets per day (3–5 grams) as a maintenance dose. Always follow the usage instructions on the product label and consult a healthcare professional if you are unsure.

Yes, many customers combine different algae products. Spirulina and chlorella are often used together, as they have complementary nutritional profiles. If you are new to algae, we recommend introducing one product at a time so you can see how your body responds before adding another. If you use medication or have a medical condition, please consult your doctor first.

Store our products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep the packaging tightly closed. Powders are best stored in an airtight container if not used within a few weeks of opening. Always check the best-before date on the packaging and do not use the product after this date.

Yes. You can return unopened products within 14 days of receipt. Please contact us first at service@aligma.eu so we can arrange the return for you. Products that have been opened cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, unless there is a quality issue.

If your order arrives damaged or you have received the wrong product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at service@aligma.eu with a photo of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible at no cost to you.

Once we have received and inspected the returned product, we will process your refund within 5 business days. The refund will be credited to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional days before the amount appears on your statement.
