Makes 1 large shake
Ingredients
- 200 ml plant-based milk or water
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 scoop protein powder (e.g. vanilla or neutral)
- 1 tsp Aligma Spirulina Powder
- 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
- Handful of spinach (optional)
- Ice cubes as desired
Preparation
-
Add the liquid
Pour 200 ml plant-based milk or water into the blender. This prevents the other ingredients from sticking to the bottom. -
Add the banana
Peel the ripe banana and break it into pieces. Add to the blender. -
Add the protein powder
Add 1 scoop of protein powder (vanilla or neutral) on top of the banana. -
Add the spirulina
Add 1 teaspoon of Aligma Spirulina Powder. It blends best when added to the middle of the mix rather than directly against the blender wall. -
Add the nut butter
Add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter or almond butter for extra creaminess and a rich flavour. -
Add vegetables (optional)
For an extra green touch: add a handful of fresh spinach. -
Add ice cubes
Add ice cubes as desired. For a thick, cold shake: 4–6 cubes. For a thinner shake: 1–3. -
Blend
Blend on high speed for 30–45 seconds until the shake is completely smooth and creamy.
Tip: If the shake is too thick, add a little extra water or plant-based milk. -
Serve
Pour the shake into a large glass or shaker and enjoy it straight away for the best flavour.
