Makes 2 glasses
Ingredients
-
200 ml sparkling water (well chilled)
-
150 ml fresh orange juice
-
20–30 ml fresh lime juice
-
1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
-
½ tsp Aligma Spirulina Powder
-
Pinch of salt (optional, makes the flavour “rounder”)
-
Ice cubes as desired
-
Garnish: slices of orange/lime + sprigs of mint (optional)
Preparation
-
Make the spirulina base
Add the orange juice, lime juice, and honey/maple syrup to a measuring jug or shaker. Add the spirulina and stir vigorously until smooth. -
Tip to avoid lumps
If needed, first mix the spirulina with 2–3 tbsp of juice to form a paste, then stir that into the rest. -
Fill the glasses
Fill two glasses with ice cubes. -
Divide
Pour the spirulina base over the glasses. -
Top up
Gently top up with sparkling water (pouring slowly keeps the bubbles better). -
Finish
Stir once gently, garnish with citrus and mint, and serve immediately.
Variation (extra refreshing): add a few thin slices of ginger to the glass, or use half sparkling water / half (unsweetened) kombucha for a slightly more “grown-up” tangy kick.
