Ingredients
- 200 ml unsweetened almond or oat milk
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tsp cacao powder (for extra chocolate flavour)
- ½ banana
- ½ tsp Blue Spirulina Powder
- 2–3 ice cubes
Preparation
- Prepare the swirl
- Mix the ½ tsp blue spirulina powder with 1–2 tablespoons of the almond or oat milk until fully dissolved.
- Set this aside. This will become the swirl later.
- Make the shake
- Add the remaining milk (approximately 180–185 ml) to a blender.
- Add:
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 tsp cacao powder
- ½ banana
- 2–3 ice cubes
- Blend for 30–45 seconds until the shake is creamy and smooth.
- Add the swirl
- Pour the shake into a glass.
- Pour the blue spirulina milk over the top and use a straw, spoon, or skewer to swirl it through for a beautiful effect.
- Do not stir too much — this keeps the colour contrast nicely visible.
- Serve
- Serve immediately so the swirl stays vibrant and the shake stays nice and cold.
