Avocado–Spirulina Spread

Delicious on toast or crackers.
Makes 1 small bowl

Preparation

  1. Prepare the avocado
    Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the stone, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Add the lime juice
    Pour the juice of half a lime over the avocado. This adds flavour and helps prevent the avocado from browning quickly.
  3. Add the spirulina
    Add ½ teaspoon of Aligma Spirulina Powder to the bowl.
  4. Season
    Sprinkle a pinch of salt over the mixture.
  5. Mix
    Mash everything with a fork or blend with a hand blender until you have a smooth, creamy spread. Taste and add extra salt or lime juice if needed.
  6. Serve
    Serve immediately on bread, crackers, wraps, or use as a dip.
